Our Process
So, how does it all work? How do we get steak house-quality beef and other specialty foods delivered directly to your door?
Quality Meats
It all starts with the highest quality USDA-inspected Angus beef, known around the world for its superior quality. We offer only Prime and Upper 2/3 Choice cuts for a higher quality eating experience. Nebraska Famous Steaks come from corn-fed beef, are guaranteed to be tender and flavorful with each and every bite, and have the abundant marbling and superior taste that steak lovers crave!
Preparation
Our beef is naturally aged for 21–28 days to enhance flavor. Then the beef is portioned, packaged, flash frozen to seal in freshness, and stocked in our cold storage facility in Hastings, Nebraska.
Fulfillment
After we receive your order via phone, through our Web site, or by mail, we process your order, carefully package your selections in dry ice to maintain product integrity (for at least 48 hours), and ship it to you via UPS. Expedited shipping is standard, so products are shipped directly to you and arrive faster.

Vitamin B-12
This vitamin promotes growth, maintains cellular health and acts as an enzyme to release the energy in other foods. Naturally found in animal foods, beef is a rich source of Vitamin B-12.Iron
Iron deficiency is the most common nutritional deficiency found in the United States. Women of childbearing age are especially vulnerable to iron deficiency. Iron comes in two forms, and the type of iron found in beef is the form most easily absorbed by the body.Zinc
Zinc is used by the body to maintain the immune system, heal wounds and help maintain your sense of taste and smell. Red meat provides the majority of zinc in the American diet.Fat
Most people think any fat in the diet is bad and will contribute to poor health, but too little fat in your diet does too. Fat is an essential nutrient that allows the body to absorb and transport vitamins A, D, E and K. Fat also helps nourish our skin and hair, and helps us maintain our body temperature. Lean beef prepared using low fat cooking methods is an excellent source of the necessary fats for our health and well-being. (See http://www.ahrq.gov/clinic/epcsums/o3lipidsum.htm )Selenium
Selenium is a trace mineral found in brazil nuts, seafood and meats. Selenium works with proteins to form antioxidant enzymes to help prevent damage to the cells of the body. Soils in the Great Plains Region contain the highest amounts of selenium in the world.Conjugated Linoleic Acid
CLA is a naturally occurring dietary fatty acid found in cattle. Animal studies have shown CLA has anti-carcinogenic, anti-diabetic and anti-atherogentic properties. The health benefits of CLA in humans is still being studied, but offers promise to provide the same benefits found in the animal studies.
